geocaching madness

Andrea and I spent a good deal of valentines day outside in the cold geocaching. We found 5 of the 5 we set out for. This involved crossing a frozen reservoir in several spots, bushwhacking across a swamp, and entering some sketchy areas in the middle of nowhere.
Since you never know where you're going to end up while geocaching, I think this might be a fun photo experiment to start bringing my camera along for the ride. This time around, I didn't have my SLR, but my handy.....camera phone.... Hey it's something.

Anyhow, here's one of the less savory areas we came across between caches. Complete with local hoodlums in the distance.

Things that don't make me angry

So a while ago I submitted my photo of Horseshoe Bay in Bermuda as an ireport, and I was happy to see they chose it as a "CNN image" which means they like it, and could possibly put it into a gallery.

Well today, they've chosen it as their "Travel Photo of the day" which I'm very pleased about. My co-worker Emily mentioned that I'm now technically a nationally published photographer. I didn't really think about that. I guess I'll take whatever I can get!
